News: New Year Resolutions Go 2.0

Well, you made it through 2009! Take a deep breath. Relax a moment (or a week) before you plunge ahead into 2010. Here at MarketNet, we decided to have a little fun with our New Year resolutions, so we created a website for us to post our resolutions, and have some fun rating each other’s while we’re at it.

Now it’s your turn! Go to RateTheResolution.com – post your New Year resolution and then do us a favor and rate a few of ours. How likely do you think it is that we’ll complete our resolutions? The scale is one to five, with 1 being “Not Looking Good” and 5 being “Guaranteed”.

And to make it even better, invite your friends to rate YOUR resolution. Have fun with it.

Happy New Year!!! Make this one the best ever!

News: YOU. Our Chief Goal in Blogging at MarketNet

With the hundreds of interactive marketing blogs at your disposal, there really is a wealth of information already out there… and it’s ever growing. At MarketNet, we don’t want to rehash the same old things that other SEO, Twitter, marketing, or design bloggers are saying.

Breaking out of the typical

And where do 99 out of 100 interactive blogs concentrate? Breaking news, tips & tricks, or conflict (i.e. calling someone else an idiot). We’re not against those types of posts (well, we might not write the idiot posts very often). We’ll throw some tips, tricks, and updates when we’ve got something you really need to read. But more often than not, we want to engage our audience and help you out by answering your questions and showing you what we’ve learned along the way.

What does that look like?

Put simply, we want to help our clients, prospects, and local community to succeed on the Web. And we do that by answering your questions. What are you struggling with? What roadblocks do you need to overcome?

Whether it’s understanding the inner workings of Google AdWords, deciding which functionalities are really must-haves for your new site build, or learning how to sell your CMO on social media marketing, we’re here to help.

Who can benefit most from submitting a question?

Senior specialists, marketing managers, CMOs, and Directors would probably gain the most, because you would experience many of the same issues we deal with every day. Of course, you don’t have to fit a profile to ask a question. If you have a question, we’d like to hear it. If your goal is your company’s success and you’d like an advocate in your corner, contact us.

If we’re not answering, you’re not asking

Whenever possible, we tailor our blog posts to answer direct questions you have. It allows us to both answer your questions and to help others who are experiencing the same challenges you face each day.

Why not leave a question and find out?

The sky’s the limit. If you’re having inter-agency relationship issues or you just want to know what types of widgets really help your brand gain viral recognition, we’re here to help. You can post your questions or suggestions in blog comments or submit through our contact page.

If you use our contact page, please note “Blog Question” in the subject line.

IA: Using Axure to Create Prototypes, Wireframes, and Specifications

The goal of an information architect is to create documentation that defines how the information of a project is organized and utilized. For websites, this documentation is traditionally a site map and wireframes in the final format of printed paper. This format can be limiting, both in the amount of space available to show what should exist on the web page, and in the fact that only one state can be shown per physical piece of paper.
